L'Inconel 625 est un alliage à base de nickel non magnétique, résistant à la corrosion et à l'oxydation. Il a une résistance et une ténacité élevées dans la plage de température cryogénique jusqu'à 2000°F (1093°C) qui dérive en grande partie des effets de solution solide des métaux réfractaires, du columbium et du molybdène, dans une matrice nickel-chrome. L'alliage de nickel Inconel 625 a une excellente résistance à la fatigue et à la fissuration par corrosion sous contrainte aux ions chlorure.
